Morning

  Relax at your lodge in the morning and join a shoe bill boat safari in the afternoon.

About 1:30PM

• 
  Our Boat Guide will pick you at the Lodge of your choice shortly before 1 pm. When you reach the boat, it takes you over the Lake to Mabamba Swamps, a Ramsar wetland whose unique bird life includes the eagerly sought after Shoebill. Please apply enough sun lotion- very important, come with a rain poncho in your back pack and wear a hat. Clothes can be leisure, like shorts and sandals depending on temperatures. Use the toilet before you start! The boat trip takes 3-4 hours.

  Boat Safari to Source of The Nile, Jinja.
  The Nile is a long river flowing northwards regarded as the world’s longest river measuring 4258 miles shared by eleven countries on the eastern side of the African continent namely Uganda, Tanzania, Kenya, Ethiopia, Egypt, Congo, Burundi, Rwanda, Eritrea, South Sudan and Sudan. The Nile continues its journey to North Africa until it pours into the Mediterranean Sea.

  Visit The Karamojong
  The Karamojong are a pastoralist group who have inhabited the rugged terrains of Karamoja for centuries. With a deep reliance on cattle, their livelihoods revolve around herding and the seasonal movement in search of grazing lands. Their resilience, strong community values, and traditional customs have shaped their distinct identity, setting them apart from other ethnic groups in Uganda. Traditional Attire: The Karamojong are known for their colorful clothing and intricate beadwork. Men wear the ikwa, while women adorn themselves with beads and brass jewelry, representing beauty and social status. Rites of Passage: Ancient ceremonies, such as akiriket, mark important life stages, celebrating traits like bravery, strength, and endurance. These rites honor the community’s connection to ancestors.

   Cattle are central to the Karamojong, symbolizing wealth and playing a vital role in all aspects of life, from marriage to conflict resolution. Their semi-nomadic lifestyle revolves around ngimurok (cattle camps), where they move with their herds.

  Go on an early morning game drive in Kidepo Valley National Park, and you’ll soon discover why it’s the favorite activity of the day for many safari-goers.

  Watch wildlife and learn all about it on a guided game drive in Kidepo Valley National Park this afternoon led by our experienced guide.

Activities Day 10

  Track Uganda’s only wild rhinos on foot at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary with experienced rangers, getting close to these magnificent animals while learning about their behavior and the conservation efforts protecting Uganda’s rhino population.

After Rhino Tracking

  Transfer by Road, Ziwa Rhino and Wildlife Ranch to Murchison Falls National Park

Afternoon

  The Top of the Falls is a spectacular viewpoint where the mighty River Nile squeezes through a narrow 7-metre gorge, creating a powerful display of nature’s force. Surrounded by dramatic landscapes and the sound of rushing waters, it offers a remarkable perspective of Murchison Falls and a memorable highlight of the park experience.

  Enjoy a late afternoon game drive through Murchison Falls National Park. Watch elephants, giraffes, buffaloes and antelopes become active, while keeping an eye out for predators preparing for the night. 

Activities Day 11

Early Morning

• 
  Begin your day with an early morning game drive through Murchison’s savannah, spotting elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, antelopes and, with luck, predators in the cool morning hours. Enjoy the peaceful wilderness and beautiful light as the park awakens.

  Cruise the Nile through Murchison Falls National Park, spotting hippos, crocodiles, elephants and abundant birdlife along the riverbanks while enjoying the peaceful scenery and beauty of the surrounding wilderness.

Late afternoon

• 
  Enjoy a late afternoon game drive through Murchison Falls National Park. Watch elephants, giraffes, buffaloes and antelopes become active, while keeping an eye out for predators preparing for the night. 

Activities Day 12

Early morning optional

• 
  Cruise along the Nile Delta, where the Victoria Nile meets Lake Albert, through quiet waterways rich in wildlife and bird-life. Look out for hippos, crocodiles, elephants and, most notably, the rare Shoe-bill, one of the region’s most sought-after sightings.

  Transfer by Road, Murchison Falls National Park to Kibale National Park
  Transfer time; About 6-7 hours

Activities Day 13

After breakfast

  Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary
  Explore Bigodi Wetlands on a 4.5 km guided walk through lush wetlands, home to over 200 bird species, including the Great Blue Turaco, and eight species of primates. It is a rewarding experience for nature and bird lovers.

  Local lunch at Tinka, Kibale National Park

At about 2:00PM

• 
  Track chimpanzees through the lush forests of Kibale National Park, following their calls and movements with experienced guides while discovering other primates and the rich biodiversity of the forest.

  Today you have an option of visit the Banana man for Banana gin experience, or go for a coffee experience or visit the basket weaving women or do all of them because each activity takes like 30 or 40 mins.

After community visit

  Transfer by Road, Kibale National Park to Queen Elizabeth National Park
  Transfer time; About 2-3 hours

During Transfer

• 
  Experience the Equator in Uganda, where the Northern and Southern Hemispheres meet. Stop for memorable photos, explore the equatorial landmark and enjoy a unique moment at one of Uganda’s iconic attractions.

At 2:00PM

• 
  Cruise along the Kazinga Channel, where the waters connect Lake Edward and Lake George and attract abundant wildlife. Enjoy close views of hippos, crocodiles, elephants and buffaloes along the shoreline, with diverse bird-life completing this memorable safari experience.

  Begin your day with an early morning game drive across Queen Elizabeth’s Savannah as the park awakens. Watch for elephants, buffaloes, antelopes and lions, while the cool air and soft morning light create an ideal setting for wildlife viewing.

  Enjoy an experiential lion-tracking activity in Queen Elizabeth National Park, joining researchers as they monitor wild lions using radio-collar technology. Follow their movements while gaining insight into their behavior, habitat and ongoing conservation efforts.

Activity Day 17

Morning to possibly afternoon

  Trek through Uganda’s lush forests in search of mountain gorillas, following their trails with experienced guides. Once found, observe their behavior and family interactions, while enjoying encounters with colorful birds, primates, butterflies and diverse forest life along the way.

  Transfer time; about 3 to 4 hours

  We head out by boat onto Bunyonyi to visit some of its 20-odd islands and enjoy the lovely views across the water to steep terraced slopes that enclose the lake.

  Drum experience in Mpambire village in Mpigi District, Uganda, is the famous cultural hub and birthplace for traditional drum making, widely known for housing the traditional royal drum makers. Artisans here use hollowed tree trunks and natural animal skins to handcraft authentic ceremonial and musical drums. You can pass by this place and experience some drumming.
