This Uganda trip covers the Best of Uganda's Wildlife as well as primate areas of kibale and Bwindi.

Welcome to Uganda and welcome to your safari! It all begins here in Entebbe.

Entebbe is the main air gateway to Uganda. It stands on the lush northern shore of Lake Victoria – the world's second-largest freshwater body – only an hour’s drive south of the capital Kampala. It's a very relaxed and low-rise city, offering a good choice of lakeshore restaurants, abundant greenery, and some of the best urban bird watching anywhere in Uganda.

Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary is Uganda’s only home to wild southern white rhinos and a remarkable conservation success story. Murchison Falls National Park

Murchison Falls National Park is Uganda’s largest protected area and one of the country’s most rewarding safari destinations. At its heart, the mighty Nile River is squeezed through a narrow gorge before plunging over the Murchison Falls, creating one of Africa’s most powerful natural spectacles. Across the park’s expansive savannah plains, wildlife encounters include elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, lions and antelopes, while a Nile boat cruise offers close views of hippos, crocodiles and diverse birdlife. The combination of dramatic landscapes, abundant wildlife and the unforgettable power of the Nile makes Murchison Falls an essential part of any Uganda safari.

Track Uganda’s only wild rhinos on foot at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary with experienced rangers, getting close to these magnificent animals while learning about their behavior and the conservation efforts protecting Uganda’s rhino population.

Late afternoon

Enjoy a late afternoon game drive through Murchison Falls National Park. Watch elephants, giraffes, buffaloes and antelopes become active, while keeping an eye out for predators preparing for the night.

Begin your day with an early morning game drive through Murchison’s savannah, spotting elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, antelopes and, with luck, predators in the cool morning hours. Enjoy the peaceful wilderness and beautiful light as the park awakens.

Nile Boat Safari
Most of our guests rate a boat trip to Murchison Falls as a safari highlight. Hippos and crocodiles are plentiful, and you might see elephants, buffaloes and other wildlife drinking water along the shores of the Nile.

Enjoy a late afternoon game drive through Murchison Falls National Park. Watch elephants, giraffes, buffaloes and antelopes become active, while keeping an eye out for predators preparing for the night.

Today you have an option of visit the Banana man for Banana gin experience, or go for a coffee experience or visit the basket weaving women or do all of them because each activity takes like 30 or 40 mins.

Track chimpanzees through the lush forests of Kibale National Park, following their calls and movements with experienced guides while discovering other primates and the rich biodiversity of the forest.

Queen Elizabeth National Park

Queen Elizabeth National Park brings together vast Savannah, crater lakes, forests and the wildlife-rich Kazinga Channel. Explore the park in search of elephants, buffaloes, lions and antelopes, with opportunities to see tree-climbing lions in Ishasha and enjoy spectacular views towards the Rwenzori Mountains, while boat cruises offer close wildlife encounters.

Bigodi Wetlands Sanctuary
Rich in biodiversity and scenic beauty, the Bigodi Wetlands Sanctuary is a must visit. A 4,5km long walk will take you through this important wildlife corridor of Kibale Forest and will take up to 3hours. It is a “Home of the Great Blue Turaco” is a real bird watcher’s paradise. This wonderful place shelters over 200 species of birds including Hornbills, Turacos, Parrots, Cranes, Kingfishers and many more swamp endemics. Furthermore, the sanctuary is the home of 8 species of primates, including the Black and White Colobus, Red Colobus, Red Tailed Monkey, Grey Cheeked Mangabey, Olive Baboon, L’hoest Monkey, Vervet Monkey and the Blue Monkey.

Mgahinga Gorilla National Park

As its name suggests, Mgahinga Gorilla National Park is a key stronghold for the mountain gorilla, and one of only four places worldwide where this charismatic ape can be observed in the wild. Despite being Uganda’s smallest national park, it has an impressive altitude span, ranging from 2,227m at the entrance gate to 4,127m at the summit of Muhabura, the tallest of three volcanoes situated within its boundaries. There are no roads inside the park, but its varied habitats, which include cathedralesque bamboo stands, dense rainforest and high-altitude moorland, can be explored on various guided foot excursions.

Lake Bunyonyi

Lake Bunyonyi is a stunning highland lake in southwestern Uganda, known for its calm waters, lush terraced hills and 29 small islands. Enjoy a scenic canoe ride across the lake, take in the beautiful surroundings and experience the quiet charm of this remarkable destination.

Golden Monkey Tracking – Mgahinga
Step deep into Mgahinga’s wild bamboo forests and track the lively golden monkeys through their mountain habitat. This adventure is indeed amazing! These fast and interesting monkeys are normally spotted in bamboo trees. Since these monkeys are social, it’s possible to spot them in a group of about 30–100 individuals, lovely to watch led by a dominant male.

Walking Safari
Early in the morning, drive into Lake Mburo National Park before leaving the vehicle at a designated spot and continuing on foot with a trained ranger. Walk through the bush among zebras, impalas and other wildlife, experiencing the park from a completely different perspective. The guided walk is carefully managed and is possible here because of Lake Mburo’s unique wildlife and terrain, offering an intimate and unforgettable encounter with the African wilderness. Do not worry, it is safe.

Mpambire village in Mpigi District, Uganda, is the famous cultural hub and birthplace for traditional drum making, widely known for housing the traditional royal drum
makers. Artisans here use hollowed tree trunks and natural animal skins to handcraft authentic ceremonial and musical drums. You can pass by this place and experience some drumming.
